Jan 16, 2018 Happy New Year! I’m so excited about this new journey that I’m fixing to embark on!! The Dreams and Visions for my life are finally coming to pass and I thank my Heavenly Father for leading me and guiding me. I also want to thank my wonderful husband of 32 years, Larry, for supporting me in this new adventure. I’ll tell you a little bit about myself!! Are you ready? As I previously said, I’ve been married for 32 years. Larry and I met at work in 1985 & our first date was Valentine’s Day. We fell in love & married 6 months later! 2 years after that we had our first son, Chase, (now 30 not married but engaged), 4 years later we had our second son Ryan (now 26). Ryan has been married to Danielle (my daughter-in-love) for almost 3 years, and they have a one year old son, Grayson (our first grandson!). I never knew the joy you could feel until I held my grand baby. He is such a joy! (Oh, and our second grand baby is on the way. Happy Dance!!!) I almost forget about my two fur babies, Bentley and Precious, they are full blood Shiatsu’s, and they are my best friends. My husband and I have been full time Pastors at Mercy and Grace in Springdale AR for almost 7 years now. What a honor it is to be able to pastor such wonderful people. They love us and encourage us, and I know they pray for us. I also lead Praise and Worship with some awesome folks that work right along-side me. I’ll get into that a little more later, but worship is my true passion, on and off the stage! Two years ago I began to pray for greater things in my life. I knew that my Heavenly Father had more for me to do (like I don’t do enough, right?), but have you ever had the sense of urgency in your spirit that God was calling you for such a time as this? That was me, 2 years ago. 2 Timothy 1:9 says, “Who has saved us and called us with a Holy Calling, not by our works but by His own purpose and grace which is given us in Christ Jesus before the World began.”I’m so thankful for the calling He placed on my life at a very young age. I remember days as a young girl that I would walk out our back door and just begin to sing to the Lord. The hills listened, the birds chirped and the cow mooed, I think my Heavenly Father was also listening. I feel that’s when my life began as a worshipper. I’ve been called! So here I am today, fixing to post my first blog. I don’t claim to be a writer at all, but when you’re called to do something you have to step out in faith, and believe that God has placed this upon you. He will lead and guide your footsteps. Psalms 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” I’m beyond thankful for this opportunity to share my life with you. You’ll find very quickly that I’m very transparent and willing to talk about a lot of things that have happened to me, both personal and in ministry! All of it is good, of course! I’ll also give some tips at the end of each blog on topics like: shopping for clothes, what and what not to wear, health, or finding your knack in everyday life. Believe me, I just turned 55 in December and I feel like I’m just beginning to really love life, realizing the things that matter to me, and the things that are not really important! I believe that every person, young or old, man, woman, boy or girl should be able to live a victorious life. I just found that out about 3 months ago. Today I can honestly say that I love my life more now than I ever have before. I mean that happens when things change in your life, there’s a peace that God has you in His Hands. That’s the kind of Victory that I’m talking about. That’s the kind of Happiness that I’m talking about. So I’m here today to tell you whatever you may be going through, seek peace and He will give it to you! Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Don’t you just love that verse? That promise is for everyone, not just me but you, too!! But do you know HOW to receive this promise? Verses 12 & 13 tell us how. Read on: “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Try this in 2018! Seek God with ALL your heart and watch what He does.OK, Now I’m done preaching! lol!! Be blessed today on the 16th of January!! Know God and Know Peace! Today’s Personal Tip: Make sure to spend some time with Your Personal Savior everyday. Read, pray, and always seek Him for direction!! At the end of the day, you’ll be glad you did!!
