Seasons

Where we live here in Arkansas, it’s supposed to get into the 70’s today! So I’m at home today thinking I might do some yard work!! Who wants to be indoors on a day like this?! I like having a day at home, not wearing makeup, putting on an old pair of jeans and T-shirt with an old pair of shoes, going outside and getting my hands dirty!! I’m a country girl at heart!! So a day like today makes me long for springtime!

There is something about seasons that I love! Fall is beautiful with all the colors showing their glory to the Maker. Winter: everything seems dead,  but when it snows the beauty of it, well, I might say it’s like it’s taking the dead stuff and giving it life again! Then here comes Spring! With the flowers blooming and trees budding; you can even hear the birds singing a New Song!! Summer, to me, is for great family gatherings, barbecues, swimming in the creek (as a kid that was the only place to swim!), and picking the fruit and veggies that were planted in the spring! I absolutely LOVE all 4 seasons!!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 tells us, There is a season for everything!! You may be going through a season of mourning, or a season of dancing! A season of war, or a season of peace!

In my Life Application Study Bible, the commentary says, “It’s all in Gods timing! Timing is important! All experiences listed in these verses are appropriate at certain times. The Secret To peace with God is to discover, accept, and appreciate Gods perfect timing. The danger is to doubt or resent Gods timing. This can lead to despair, rebellion, or moving ahead without his advice.”

So I don’t know what season you are in today, but know that God has it in His control! Not Ours!! I’m learning all this as well!! Walking in Faith is something we are to do every day, but when things are going really good for us, it’s easy to say that you are faith walking, but let something happen that affects your life and you really have to trust God, Now That’s Faith Walking!!

Be blessed today! Think of your season as a learning time! We can be taught everyday!!

My Tip Of The Day:  Ladies, if you’re outside today, put some sunscreen on! Take good care of your beautiful skin!!
