So this week my honey and I are trying to get back to eating healthier!! We are not getting any younger, and I know what goes into our bodies affects us either in a good way or a bad way!! I have to be careful what I cook because my husband suffers with gout from eating the wrong foods. We are trying to stay away from foods that hurt him but still eat healthy and enjoy food!!
I think just because you’re eating healthy doesn’t mean it has to be bland, but I think you can eat healthy and still eat flavorful food!!
I made this Pizza casserole tonight and it was really good!! I did add a little pizza sauce and I used turkey sausage instead of pork sausage (that’s what it called for). That way my husband could also enjoy dinner without waking up tomorrow hurting in his joints. I got this recipe off Pinterest; it was posted by KaylnsKitchen.com! We loved it!!
Then for dessert I sliced up some strawberries sprinkled with stevia and topped it with whipped topping. And that, my friends, was our healthy dinner and it tasted really good!! I’ll keep you up to date on how we are doing on this healthy eating!!
I believe our Heavenly Father wants us to be healthy and make better choices (help me, Lord!) so we can have long and productive lives!!
So, start today by just making one small change in your eating habits, then tomorrow add another! Get out and walk and enjoy the fresh air! You’ll feel better for it!!
