Walking Away When Being Tempted!

I pray you are having a wonderful day and that you are doing the things that you love to do! I’m actually writing this blog before I head to work, so it won’t be long!

My question to you today is this: Are you being tempted with something that’s really hard to resist? Is it something that just nags at you constantly and is always on your mind? I have to say that I get tempted daily with my own little demons, and I can safely say that we all have something that wants to trip us up when we least expect it!

There are many ways that the devil tempts us! It may be lust, spending too much money, food, or anything that draws our hearts away from Christ! Being tempted is not a sin, but  giving into it is when it becomes SIN!

I’ve decided when I am faced with my temptation, I’m going to start writing it down, then I am going to pray and ask the Father to help me overcome it!

I have to say that my biggest temptation is FOOD! I love to eat the stuff that is not good for me! JUNK FOOD! I’m not saying that I can’t ever have a slice of pizza, or a greasy cheeseburger, but I am saying this; whenever I know I need to be eating a healthy diet and I continue to eat all the junk, well, then I need to be taking this to Jesus! (Help ME Lord!)

So let me give this scripture to you today! Write it down and put it where you can see it!

“Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God” [for temptation does not originate from God, but from our own flaws]; for God cannot be tempted by [what is] evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire [lust, passion]. Then when the illicit desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin has run its course, it gives birth to death.”                    ‭‭JAMES‬ ‭1:12-15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I pray that this has helped you today! Let’s be over-comers together!
