Psalm 23

Psalm 23 in the NIV says “…the Lord is my Shepherd, I Lack Nothing!” I’ve never knew that verse quite like that before, until I heard it on a Podcast with Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill. But when I heard this phrase something really grabbed hold of my spirit! I Lack Nothing! I LACK NOTHING!!

Do You Get It? We don’t lack anything when we Have Christ living on the inside of us! As flesh (and I can say amen here) we allow things to come into our lives that might take other (better) things away from us, like our peace, our joy, our strength the list could go on and on, but we have to remember this verse! I Lack Nothing!

When we get up everyday, we need to remind ourselves that we are overflowing with Peace today, I’m overflowing in Joy today, whatever it is that you’re feeling a lack of, tell yourself that you are overflowing with it because You Lack Nothing!

I’m so thankful that I serve a Shepherd that tells me that I don’t have to walk through this life feeling a lack in my life! Some of you may be feeling a lack of close friendships, but remember that the Good Shepherd is the best friend you could ever have!

There have been times in my life when I felt a lack of self worth! The ideas I had were either pushed aside or I thought they weren’t good enough to step out and do. The enemy would tell me lies and I would listen, that’s the sad part! But there came a time that I realized that I Lacked Nothing! That just might mean my ideas weren’t that far fetched after all! God took all those intimidating feelings and gave me an Abundance of Self Confidence!

With that I’m free to follow my calling and my gifting! Yes, there are times I still feel a lack of self worth, but then I’m reminded that I Am a Daughter Of The King, a Daughter of The Good Shepherd. So I LACK NOTHING!!

I want to encourage you today; if you feel like you are lacking something in your life, it could be something totally different than I even mentioned, just remember that you belong to the Good Shepherd! And With Him You Lack NOTHING!!
